Membership Disputes
There are many thousands of organisations in the UK which exist to promote the interests of their members in such things as sport, professions, and social activities.
Most such organisations exist as ‘unincorporated associations’ where the members agree a set of rules often known as a constitution and appoint individuals to apply those rules.
When an organisation is presented with a member who it believes has infringed the rules it usually invokes a Disciplinary Procedure which in turn results in Disciplinary Proceedings against the member which can result in a decision to expel or otherwise sanction the individual member
We offer advice to organisations on the development of suitable procedures and on their implementation and also offer representation when possible to members subject to such proceedings
