Training and experience
Greg trained at Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, Newcastle/Manchester and qualified as a solicitor in 2018. Upon qualification Greg specialised solely in Court of Protection work advising litigators, professional and lay deputies.
Greg joined EMG Solicitors Limited in 2021 as an Associate, to work exclusively in their Court of Protection department. Greg leads on deputyship and trust matters.
Current workload
Greg supports a number of deputyship and trust with a variety of complex neurological and physical difficulties. He has an interest in helping clients with a dual diagnosis of both mental health and brain injury having developed a passion for mental capacity law. Greg’s extensive experience leading large multidisciplinary teams equips him to address cases involving complex neurorehabilitation and comprehensive care packages. He is proficient in considering alternate methods or structuring settlements, particularly in the realms of reverse indemnities and Peter’s undertakings. Greg is also the Professional Support Lawyer in the Court of Protection team and leads on internal process and knowledge development.
