Holly Hirst
Training and experience
Holly trained at Richard Reed Solicitors, Sunderland and qualified as a solicitor in 2014. Upon qualification she specialised in general private client practice, with an element of Court of Protection work advising both professional and lay deputies.
Holly joined EMG Solicitors Limited in February 2015, to work exclusively on Court of Protection (Property and Affairs) and trust matters. In 2021, Holly was promoted to associate solicitor and now leads on several deputyship and trust matters.
Current workload
Holly supports approximately 18 deputyship clients and 6 trust clients, with an age range from 10 years old to mid-90s. Holly also advises lay deputies on particularly complex matters, particularly where the protected party is of high net worth. Holly is experienced in dealing with cases with an international element, including clients who live in Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia and Singapore.
Holly has a broad client base, including clients of different cultural and religious beliefs, clients whose first language is not English, clients who are living with mental illness in addition to brain injury and clients who are minimally conscious.
