Job Role at EMG

I am the People & Culture HR Administrator at EMG and joined in August 2023. I work in a small but mighty team with Olivia and Ian, and mainly support them by carrying out administrative duties to assist in improving and supporting the growth of the firm. We are based in the Gosforth office but regularly visit the other offices as well.

Experience

I grew up in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire and moved to the North East to study. In July 2023, I graduated from Newcastle University with a First Class Honours in Pharmacology. Alongside my studies, I have worked in hospitality and retail for over 6 years, developing a passion for good customer service. While not being directly related to my degree, my job role enables me to help and support all EMG employees which I find very rewarding.

What do you like about working at EMG?

Everyone at EMG is so welcoming and shares the same core values, making it easy to work well together. I particularly like how supportive EMG is and that there are so many opportunities to get involved in, meaning I am constantly learning in different ways. Recently, I attended an insightful Biological Wellbeing workshop, and have joined the ‘Better Health at Work’ team.

Outside of EMG?

In my free time I like to go running, in September I completed the Great North Run. I am a massive coffee and food fan, so on weekends I love exploring all the amazing different cafes and eateries in Newcastle.
