Greg Phillips

Associate Solicitor

Job Role at EMG

I am an Associate Solicitor in the Court of Protection team. I joined EMG Solicitors in 2021. I specialise in mental capacity law and predominantly work with individuals who have suffered acquired brain injuries and require assistance to manage their property and financial affairs.

I graduated from Northumbria University in 2014 with my LLB and Masters in Law. I also completed my LPC during my studies. I was awarded my training contract with another leading firm, as ranked by the Legal 500, in the same year but it was not due to start until 2016. In the lead up to starting my training contract I gained experience working as a paralegal practicing in personal injury and industrial disease. I began as a trainee solicitor in 2016 supporting clients who have suffered serious personal injury and medical negligence. I then began to specialise in mental capacity law in 2017. After qualifying in 2018 I have devoted all of my professional life to assisting vulnerable individuals who fall within the remit of the Court of Protection to manage their property and financial affairs.
