Residential Conveyancing Assistant

Job Role at EMG 

I recently joined EMG in February 2022 as a Conveyancing Assistant to assist the Conveyancing Team in all aspects of residential properties.

Experience

During my time on the Northumbrian Police YTS I spent time on placement at a High Street Law Firm in Gateshead and was then offered the role of  office junior. I progressed from office junior to typist assisting secretaries in the office. In  the early 90’s I started work as a Legal Secretary to the office manager dealing with residential properties. I moved to the Midlands in 1994 and there I was a Legal Secretary to one of the partners dealing with matrimonial and conveyancing matters. After moving back to the North East in 2002 I have worked as a Legal Secretary in residential conveyancing, occasionally assisting with commercial properties.

What do you like about working at EMG? 

The people who work at EMG are very friendly and have made me feel so welcome. I was very apprehensive at first but nothing is too much trouble and I have had lots of questions but everyone is happy to help me.

Outside of EMG?

I like spending time with my family and fiancé. I have two children aged 18 and 22. I am a member of a gym and also attend cycle energy classes when I can. I enjoy going on holiday abroad but also like visiting Blanchland and Whitby.
