Job Role at EMG

I was delighted to join the Court Protection team at EMG as a paralegal in March 2021. My role within the department consists of reviewing files, paying invoices, reconciling bank statements and organising utilities along with many other administrative tasks.

I have worked in law firms for over 17 years now, initially within the Probate and Wills department and then moving over to the Court of Protection department 4 years ago. This is an area of law that I enjoy very much and I am pleased to be able to expand my knowledge within EMG.

What do you like about working at EMG?

From my very first day I was embraced by everyone and made to feel very welcome, which has made the transition from my previous home in the South such an easy one.

Outside of EMG?

My husband, Mark and I made the big decision to move from Eastbourne, ‘Sun Trap of the South’ to the North East (what were we thinking…haha!!) to be closer to my sister and brother in law, a local lad, and their gorgeous dog, Buster.

We are very much looking forward to exploring the region and experiencing the famous North East hospitality as we are social animals and enjoy nothing more than a good meal with a bottle of wine…or two…or three…and great company.

We also love to travel and one of our favourite destinations is Thailand…if you have never been, you really should!

Over the last 10 years, outside of work, I have helped to organise a number of large charity events, raising funds for a wide range of charities including Help for Heroes and The National Autistic Society…It’s extremely fulfilling to see how generous people can be and the difference that it can make to those less fortunate.
