Rose Foster
Client Executive
Job Role at EMG
I am a Client Executive at the firm and joined EMG in December 2021. I am working in our Court of Protection property and financial affairs department and have experience working with clients who lack capacity with both litigated and non-litigated files. The majority of my current work involves managing our client’s finances and supporting them to make decisions for themselves. I run my own case load and also assist other fee earners.
Experience
I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a Law degree and then completed my LPC at the University of Law in Manchester. I was then fortunate enough to spend several months travelling through South America before moving to Australia for a year-long working holiday. When “Down Under” I worked as a waitress in Sydney and then travelled up the East Coast of Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand, I returned to the UK towards the end of 2018 (with very little money) but ready to begin my training contract at a Newcastle based firm. I qualified as a solicitor in November 2021.
What do you like about working at EMG?
Everyone at EMG is extremely supportive and genuinely care about the clients. I have never felt like a question was too silly to ask and have felt so welcome since joining the team. It is a very hard working group who are also very sociable and I have enjoyed the social side of work as well.
I knew I wanted to work in Court of Protection, and for me, there was no other firm I wanted to join. EMG are so highly regarded in the profession and I am excited to learn from the best. My day can vary between being involved in a property purchase for a client or arranging pet insurance for a client’s new puppy. No two days are the same in this job and I love the close relationship we have with the client and their family.
Outside of EMG?
In my free time you can usually find me socialising with friends/family or watching reality tv. I am also trying to convince my partner to get a cat so watch this space…
